Enjoying time off

After I finished my marathon in February I decided to take a running vacation. I am enjoying it. I run once maybe twice a week and really enjoy it because I am running for fun and not because I have to. I encourage everyone to take a running vacation after intense training.
Every Thursday the Thunder Bay Metre Eaters have their club run at Fresh Air Experience and I lead a 5:1 group which it so awesome. Many of the ladies and gents in my group are training for the 10 mile road race, they are so excited and I love chatting about what they are going through obstacles they have come across it's great.
This weekend is the Fresh Air 10 km race which I am not running but will be there taking pictures at the finish line. I have been sick with a cold for 3 weeks and do not have the stamina to run the race. Good Luck to everyone who is running, I think I will bust out the cow bells.
The muscles between my ribs are bruised which feels like my ribs are broken from coughing for 3 weeks, so I have also put swimming on hold as I cannot reach over my head. Instead of sitting around a group of ladies from work and I get together Tuesdays and walk around Boulevard with the Women's Run/Walk Group that are training for the Royal Lepage  Womens Run.

I have the next race in the back of my mind and the training for it starts at the end of May, Miles with the Giant Half Marathon.  I would also like to get out and do some trail runs.
Happy Running everyone or whatever your choice of  spending free time may be.
