Fresh Air 10km

Yesterday was a beautiful day to run, and 250 people came out to run the Fresh Air 10 km in support of George Jeoffrey's Childrens Centre.  Al put on a great race with many great volunteers. This was my first look inside the Metre Eaters trailer and Steve showed me the ropes. It look so bare early in the morning before runners showed up.

I did not run the race but I was the photographer for my friends that were running. I love watching people run and I love pictures of people running (especially of myself running).  Soon after 0900 the runners started to show up,

It was so awesome, there were people of all running abilities.
Friends of mine from work entered the race and they were pumped and ready to go.
Carol making some last minute checks, making sure everything is set to go,

Stephanie was making sure her Garmin was set and ready,

One last minute pat on the back for each other and then they would be off,
Steph, Tammy, and Carol

Everyone made there way to the finish line,

Look who I found in the crowd but how could you miss her, I love her outfit.

The girls were waiting in anticipation of the gun going off and getting this race under way,

It took the first guy around 30 minutes to cross the line, I would not have been halfway by then.
Here is Carol coming through the finish line,

Here comes Tammy across the finish line,

Here comes Stephanie across the finish line,

I was so happy for everyone that ran, it was great weather and lots of people out for the run.
The next run is the Royal Lepage Womens Run/Walk, then comes the 10 mile road race.
